Cori Lynn Brown, a.k.a. Cori Reed, a.k.a Cori Day entered into this world on June 21, 1975 to the late Carol Leblanc and Michael Reed, in St. Gabriel, LA. Cori was baptized as a youth in the Catholic Church. Cori attended East Iberville High School and she obtained her GED at Christa McAuliffe Center in Baton Rouge. Later in life Cori began her career in Retail Management at multiple retail stores, including Sprouts Farmers Market for the last 5 years.
On March 3, 2001 Cori Lynn joined in Holy Matrimony with Marlon Brown, in Baton Rouge, LA. In this union they were blessed with four children, Devin Day, Marcus Day, Marisa Day and Megan Brown. Cori dedicated her life to her husband, four children and grandson Marcus “EMJAY” Day Jr. In her spare time, Cori enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was a light in everyones lives, there wasn’t a person she touched or came in contact with that didn’t feel warmed just by her presence. She shared so much of herself with everyone & showed unconditional love until her call home. She loved cooking & spending time with her family. Any time spent was very special to her and she cherished every minute. Being a "Nanny" to her one and only grandchild made her so proud. Just to see another generation grow up in front of her eyes made her glow and she loved her some "nanny baby". She loved R&B music, going on store runs, eating sweets (reeses & ice cream specifically) the color coral, staying busy, and being a mom & wife. She was the sweetest, kindest, selfless, thoughtful, caring, considerate woman to have ever graced our lives. To know her was truly to love her.
Cori leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband Marlon Brown, four children Devin, Marcus, Marisa, Megan, Grandson Emjay, brother Tommy Day(Cara) Orange County, California, sister Janie Johnson(Levi) Elton, LA, god-brother Tyler Hill, Bayou Manchac, LA, aunt Debbie Reed (Richard) , Cheryl and Renee Leblanc, mother-in-law Joeann Brumfield (Joseph), 3 sister-in-laws Romana Sanders(Charles) Neko Brown(Kia), Tammy Brown(Clayton), 3 brother-in-laws Corey Brown(Beth), Jabiri Brown, Jarius Wright, special friend Christy Simmons(Kedrick), and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and family and friends who loved her dearly.
Cori Lynn will be welcomed into the pearly gates, by her mother Carol Leblanc, father Michael Reed, grandparents Dorothy and William Leblanc, Aunt Sandra Leblanc and a host of loved ones.
