Isaac Warren Gordon, Sr. was born on April 23, 1945 to the union of Ike and Lois Hayes Gordon in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was the fourth child born in a family of ten. He was reared in the Zachary/Deerford area. Isaac was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Isaac Warren was baptized at the Moses Chapel United Methodist Church as a child and remained an active member until his death. As a memeber he sang in the choir and was a member of the Board of Trustees. He was very concerned about the upkeep of the church building and worked hard to make minor repairs and to keep the lawn and grounds in order until he suffered health issues.
Isaac Warren attended Chaneyville High School and graduated in 1964. Upon his graduation he enrolled in Southern University. While at Southern University he was proud of the time he spent in the ROTC. Isaac served some time in the United States Air Force. He was vey smart in Mathematics and enjoyed literature and Poetry. He spent most of his work career as an employee at Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in St. Francisville, LA. He loved watching and attending Southern University's football games, and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, and enjoyed watching Westerns.
Isaac Warren will be missed by family and friends, he leaves to cherish his memory ; sons, Terry Matthews (Nicole), Isaac Warren, Jr. (Marlena); daughter, Tiffanie Gordon Price, beloved son-in-law, Roy Price; grandsons, Timothius, Nicholas, Dominic, Chaz and Terry, Jr.; granddaughters, Ajia and Jeterra; four great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Burton (Henry), Debra Gordon Robertson (Lloyd, Sr.); brothers, Willie L. Gordon (Shirley), David Gordon, Sr. (Kimberly); brother-in-law, Earl Robinson, Sr.; uncles, Benny Hayes (Anita), Samuel Hayes, and John Henry Hayes (Joann) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Isaac Warren was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, John L. Hayes, Sr. and Amanda Penn Washington (Henry L. ), Mary and William Gordon, Sr.; infant daughter, four brothers, Donald Robert, Ray and Ernest and one sister, Precious Gordon Robinson.
