For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
The book of life opened for Konnica Harris on June 22, 1975 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the late Aubrey Harris and Bernadette Harris. Konnica was a product of Capitol Senior High School.
She dedicated her life to Christ and was born a member of Star Hill Baptist Church on 48th Street under the leadership of the late Rev. H.P. Greene and Pastor Raymond A. Jetson. Konnica served in the cherubim (children’s) choir with her sister, Shawlonda. She had a sincere heart and was full of compassion. Konnica was a loving mother, mimi, sister, auntie and niece. Her natural comedic abilities were showcased through ItZtHaGoDiNmE productions as the main character, Helen. Konnica always reminded us that “family’s first”. She led her life making sure those around her were well taken care of. Her servant’s heart will always be remembered.
Konnica leaves to cherish loving memories: one daughter, TyErykah Harris; three grandchildren, Aaron Jr, Aayla and Aceyn; one sister, Shawlonda Harris; two nieces, Kieaerra (Willie) Curry and Darah Harris; two great nephews, Willie Cantuan Jr and Aubrey; two aunts, Artamise and Sandra Mims; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
