Maurice Pitre

Maurice Jervin Pitre, age 60, passed away at his home in Hammond, Louisiana. Mr. Pitre was born May 02, 1962 to Raymond and Agnes Pitre Sr of Marrero, La. He spent most of his life on the West Bank where he had family and friends. 

Maurice made his career as a Truck Driver for U.S. Express until he was injured in a work accident. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle when his health allowed it. He loved his fur baby, Roxie, a Boston Terrier, who kept him company as well as entertained. Roxie has gone on to live with his daughter Ashlie. 

He is survived by his parents Raymond and Agnes Pitre Sr, his daughter Ashlie E. Pitre, and his brother Darren Pitre Sr. He is preceded in death by his wife Melissa (Missy) Ann Dufrene Pitre, longtime girlfriend Deborah Dufrene, and his brother Raymond Pitre Jr. 

The family is mourning his loss in private, and his remains will be placed in the Family Tomb. They ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
