The Life and Memory of Renata Booker

Renata was born on March 12,1981, in New Orleans, LA, to Eula Booker and Charles Barksdale. She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age.

Renata attended Capital Senior High and worked for the East Baton Rouge Parish School Bus System, and as an addiction counselor.

Renata was called home on Monday, November 4, 2024. She leaves to celebrate her life, cherish her memories her mother, Eula Johnson, and father, Charles Barksdale; three children, Tykeidrick Booker, Amari Booker, and Aniya Young; and a bonus child Kierra Wagner; four grandchildren, Zion Booker, Hakeem Booker, Teagen Booker, and Tinslei Booker; three siblings, Lee Lucas Jr., Brittany Booker, and Crystal Barksdale; her godparents, Reginald and Naomi Wright; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ossie Carter Collins and Marshall Collins, and Willie & Janie Booker; Paternal grandparents, Mamie and JD Barksdale.

Renata will truly be missed; she will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
